Tribute to Monty Oum

First time doing RWBY fanart, but definitely not my last.
Sorry anatomy may be a little off. I'm not that good at doing hands or faces in profile, so this was something of a challenge for me. But I wanted to get it done.

Ever since I watched the 'Red' Trailer for RWBY, I fell in love with the series and instantly became hooked. It looked like it had so much potential and it had such an awesome concept and characters, that I knew I wanted to follow it through to the end. Witnessing the work that Monty Oum has done (specifically those fight scenes, I was always in constant awe of those epic fight scenes), and watching the steps taken through the years to making RWBY such an amazing show has been seriously inspirational. It made me want to expand on my ideas, holding onto the hope that they might become successful in the future.

I think I speak for many fans when I say that he was such a valuable member of the dA community, and that he was taken far too soon. I would've loved to see the him take RWBY until the very end, but I'm not too sure what will happen now - whether someone else will continue and make a third season, or whether it'll be dropped. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Scrolling through his dA page and seeing that his last journal in 2012 was titled 'Still alive and kicking' almost brought me to tears.

Red like roses

To the emptiness and sadness

That has come to take the place of you.

We love you Monty.
Thanks for being such an inspiration to so many people. 
Rest in peace. We've lost a great man in your passing.
